Can I get a COVID-19 (Coronavirus) test?

Where can I get tested for COVID-19?
The Indian Government has been expanding access to testing across the nation. Currently, both government labs and private labs have been approved for testing.
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has recommended home sample collection by private labs. We are still waiting on the guidelines to become available.

How is the test done?
There are several ways of doing the COVID-19 test including a blood sample, sputum sample, and biopsy.
The ones currently used by both Indian Government Labs and Private Labs are a combination of Nasopharyngeal (Nose) swab and Oropharyngeal (throat) swab.
These are simple, non invasive procedure that a trained medical professional will do, wearing protective equipment.
